Parents are requested to submit the Application Form duly filled, along with copies of the following documents:

• One passport-size photograph of the child 
• Self attested copy of the birth certificate issued by the Municipal Committee/ Municipal Corporation 
• Self attested copy of the residence proof 
• Copy of progress report from previous school (If applicable)

Registration Charges:

• The Prospectus-cum-Registration Form is available at our Admissions Office for a fee of 1000. 
• Alternatively you can download only the Registration Form from the school website, take a print, duly fill it and submit it at our Admissions Office, along with the Prospectus-cum-Registration Fee of 1000

Nursery Admission Alert - DPS Sushant Lok

The DPS Sushant Lok has become first school in gurgaon to open nursery admission for session 2016-17

Admission Details :

• Registration forms for the Academic session 2016-2017 will be available on the School Website and at School Gate from Monday 20th July 2015- Monday 10th August 2015 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm on all working days. 
• Preference will be given to Sibling cases. 
• Filled in Registration Forms complete in all respect must be submitted at School Reception on or before Monday 10th August 2015 between 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. 

AGE CRITERIA :

Nursery: 4 years + as on 30th September 2016.

Pre-Requisites at the time of submission of REGISTRATION FORM:

• Attested copy of Birth Certificate from Municipal Corporation 
• Photocopy of proof of residence (ration card/ voter ID card /residence lease deed/ any other ) 
• Recent passport size photograph of child and parents (one each). 
• Certificate of disability (if any)
• Immunization record of child (to be submitted along with admission form).

Registration Charges:

• Registration Fee of Rs. 1000/- in cash or DD, favouring Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok payable at Gurgaon (payment for registration to be done in the school). 
• An additional Rs. 100/- to be paid in case the registration form is downloaded / sent by post.

Preparing for Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR

Last Year around this time of the year me and my wife sat down and discussed, what are we going to do for admission for our son in session 2015-16. Trust me it was biggest worry for us :-

We came out with following action items :

1. Cash Surplus :- Have some cash handy during admission time. The reasons being:
• No school accept cheques. DD or cash is only mode of payment. Any decent school demands 25 to 40k as admission fees which mostly include school fees for first quarter.
• We might need to take admission and secure seats in more than one school. There was no guarantee for cancellation charges and timeframe which school might take for refund. Off-course there are DoE guidelines but we don't want to rely on those.
• We heard that schools can come up with last minute non declared charges like building funds etc. Yes it is illegal but we want to be ready for that.
2. Birth Certificate :- Make sure that birth certificate have child's name mentioned. Some schools do not accept birth certificate which do not contain child's name. Make sure you have 4 to 5 copies of birth certificate, some schools demand original birth certificate at the time of admission. It would be good to get this sorted early. 
3. Residential Proofs :- Get your residential proofs in place. Time to get your address corrected on some of government documents such as Aadhar card, passport or electricity/mtnl bills. Some schools are fuzzy about that and do not accept Driving License/bank account details as address proofs. 
4. Transferable Job Letter :- If you are working in multi location company or a transferable job, get some documented proof of that e.g. a letter from HR stating that you can be placed in any of firm's location. Some schools have additional points for transferable jobs. We realised this at last moment.
5. Parents Education Proofs :- Some schools demand parents education qualification proofs. In our case we collected my wife's NTT certificate from her institute one week before deadline dates :-). No additional points are given for parent's education but some schools still demand these documents.
6. Alumni Proofs :- If you are alumni for any school and seeking admission for your ward in that school, search through your documents. Get your role number and other details handy in time.
7. Research Over Internet :- Subscribe to websites such as www.admissionsnursery.com . One of the best sites that I have came across. It takes time to search through many threads and thousand of comments. The moderators and user community is so good that you mostly get desired information. There are many facebook communities out there.
8. Network :- Talk to your peers, neighbours, play school teachers and coaching institutes to get more details about schools in your area. Some schools are very good from outside but are not worth the money spent. This would help you to prioritise in case you get choices.
